None of us are perfect. Being a Christian isn't about having a flawless record; it’s about being a person in constant need of—and gratitude for—forgiveness. We all make mistakes, we all have "off" days, and we all fall short of the glory. Grace is the very air we breathe.
Social media is a unique animal. It’s "your space," and freedom of speech is a gift we all enjoy. You have the right to post your heart, your life, and your opinions. But as followers of Christ, we also have a responsibility to consider what we are reflecting to a world that is already dark enough.
I’ve noticed a trend lately that weighs heavy on my heart. When I see profanity-laced posts, photos of "flipping off" the camera, or aggressive call-outs that start with "To those Christians who think..." followed by cursing—it gives me pause.
It’s not about being "holier than thou" or judging a struggle. It’s about distastefulness.
When we use our platforms to amplify anger and vulgarity, we aren't just expressing ourselves; we are muddying the water for everyone else. If we claim to be "saved and restored," but our digital footprint looks identical to the chaos we were saved from, what story are we actually telling?
We can be real without being crude. We can be frustrated without being foul. We can even disagree without being unhinged.
My social media is my sanctuary—a place for my photography, my journey, and my faith. I choose to keep it a space of White Light because that is what I want to see in the world. Let’s remember that the world is watching us—not to see if we are perfect, but to see if we are different.
Let’s be the Sound Mind in the middle of the noise. ☕️📖✨
