Guarding the Gates of Shiloh

*Coffee of the week:
A strong, bold roast with a splash of grace. ☕✨

Friends, this week has been… real. And raw.

We talk a lot here about Fellowship, but sometimes the most important part of fellowship is knowing who NOT to let into your circle. This week, I’ve had to lean heavily into my word for the year: RESTORE.
Restoration isn't just about bringing back what was lost; it’s about protecting the peace that the Father is rebuilding in your life. I found myself in a situation where the "past" tried to knock on my bedroom door through a digital screen. It was a calculated attempt to stir up drama and manufacture "violations" where there were none.

*Here is what I’ve learned about guarding your "Shiloh" (your place of peace):

*Boundaries aren’t mean; they’re necessary.
*Blocking a number or saying "don't contact me again" isn't being petty—it’s being a steward of your mental and physical health.
*The truth is a shield. People may try to twist your kindness or use your family against you in a "blame game," but documented truth stands firm.
* Rest is a weapon. When my health (and my blood sugar!) tried to catch up with the stress, I had to choose to stop the "typing" and start the resting.

To my daughter, who turns 16 soon—though miles and "no contact" orders separate us, my prayers for your restoration never stop. To those of you fighting legal battles or family "chess games," remember: you don't have to explain your peace to those committed to misunderstanding you.

As we head into this weekend, I’m putting down the phone, picking up my latte, and letting the Father handle the "legalities" of my life while I focus on healing.

*Tell me in the comments: How are you guarding your peace this weekend?
