Day 3: The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace🛡️👟 "...

"...and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." — Ephesians 6:15

The "shoes of the Gospel of peace" represent a firm foundation of stability, security, and readiness for spiritual battles.

When my blood sugar is all over the place and my body is just tired, the ground can feel very shaky. In the Roman armor, the shoes (the caligae) had studs like cleats. They were designed so that even if the soldier was exhausted, their feet would not slip.

Sometimes, standing firm means laying down. By resting today, I was planting my feet in the peace of knowing that my worth isn't tied to how much I did, but to whose I am.

Even when you are stationary, these shoes represent readiness.

The Restful Walk ☕️📖🐾

*The Word: ISAIAH 40:31
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Tonight, as I recover from a day of physical struggle, I am laying my tiredness at the foot of the Cross. I’ve learned that a Sound Mind knows when to stop walking and just stand still. I’m trading the noise of the blood sugar swings for the light of God’s restorative peace. I am a daughter of the King, my feet are fitted for the journey, and He is renewing my strength.

*The Internal Latte: RENEWAL
Tonight’s latte is decaf, warm, and soothing—a White Light blend for a weary body. I’m leaning into the positive: I am listening to what my body needs. I’m trading the house noise of productivity guilt for true rest. I am a daughter of the King, and my peace is non-negotiable.
