There’s a common misconception that photography is only for the "big" events—the weddings, the graduations, or the milestone birthdays. But lately, I’ve found myself drawn to the beauty of the
in-between.
It’s the way the light catches the dew on a mid-April morning, or the focused expression of someone mastering a new skill. These are the quiet threads that make up the fabric of our lives, and they are just as deserving of a place in a frame as any formal ceremony.
*What’s Currently Inspiring Me:
*Generational Stories: There is something incredibly special about capturing the connection between different generations. Seeing a family’s history reflected in the eyes of its youngest members is a reminder of why I picked up a camera in the first place.
*The Power of Color: Spring in Indiana brings a specific palette of soft greens and vibrant petals. I’m currently exploring how to use these natural colors to tell a story of renewal and fresh starts.
Sometimes, the best photo isn’t the wide shot of the whole room; it’s the close-up of a child’s first steps or the texture of a favorite heirloom.
As I continue to build my portfolio, I am reminded that my job isn't just to take a picture—it’s to preserve a feeling.
I’m currently looking forward to some upcoming sessions that celebrate these very things: family, milestones, and the simple joy of being together. Stay tuned as I share more of the world through my lens!
Fresh & Focused ☕️🌿
Tonight’s "latte" is a crisp, clean blend. I’m leaning into the clarity of a new season and the excitement of a growing business. I’m trading the to-do list for the vision board. I am an artist, a professional, and I am focused on the frame.
"To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." —Elliott Erwitt
